<p>The recording/reproducing apparatus uses a tape medium comprising two reels (1a,1b) for winding and sending the tape, drivers (2a,2b) for driving the reels and a tape a speed detector (3) that produces speed data on the tape. A periodical desired value circuit (41) produces a desired speed value of the tape. A tape speed error detector (5) produces an error quantitty between the output of the tape speed detector and the output of the periodic desired value circuit. A drive side determining device (6) sends a drive instruction to the reel of the winding side at the time of acceleration and which, at the time of deceleration, sends a drive instruction corresponding to the output of the tape speed error detector to the reel of the sending side, in order to control the tape speed by driving the reels. The deceleration torque is now applied to the reel of the sending side that could not be applied to the reel of the winding side since the tape slackens.</p> |
