<p>PURPOSE:To prevent an unreasonable force from acting onto a shift transmission mechanism by interposing a buffer mechanism consisting of elastic members into a shift transmission mechanism which connects an input member onto which the steering force of a front wheel steering device is transmitted and an output member for steering rear wheels in interlocking with front wheels. CONSTITUTION:A rear wheel steering device B in a four-wheel steering device is equipped with a relay rod 31 for steering rear wheels, and the steering force of a fron wheel steering device is transmitted to the relay rod 31 through a shift transmission mechanism B1 consisting of a pair of cables 34 and 35, steering angle characteristic setting mechanism 50, control valve 80, etc. In this case, the first and second buffer mechanisms 60 and 70 are interposed midway in the shift transmission mechanism B1. The first buffer mechanism 60 is constituted by interposing a coil spring 63 between an input member 61 which is integrally turned with the output member 52 of the steering angle characteristic setting mechanism 50 and an output member 62 and by interposing a coil spring 73 between an input member 71 which is integrally turned with the output member 61 and an output member 72 joined with the input shaft 81 of the control valve 80.</p> |
