A magnetic recording medium which has good electro-magnetic conversion properties over wide frequency range and produces little drop-out and sliding noise is disclosed. The medium is produced by wet-on-wet method using a coater which is capable to coat double layered magnetic tape at one time, without mixing zone between the two layers.
