PURPOSE:To obtain an antimutagenic agent, consisting essentially of a plant of herbs and capable of eliminating or attenuating action of mutagens by oral ingestion or percutaneous administration. CONSTITUTION:An antimutagenic agent consisting essentially of the whole plant body or part, such as petal, fruit, leaf or petiole, of a plant of herbs selected from spicy herbs, etc., a milled substance, juice, extract or dried substance thereof. For example, the herbs are suitable mixed with teas and macerated or infused and drunk in the form of a tea. The herbal extract or dired powder can be directly utilized as a food, further subjected to various processings and used as a seasoning, processed food or liquors or a cosmetic, such as beauty lotion, foundation or toilet soap. |
