<p>A fluid displacement device (20) is provided to compensate for variations in the fluid volume requirements of a brake actuator. The device includes a piston (24) movable in a chamber (21) to displace fluid from the latter through an outlet (23) connected, in use, to the actuator. A motive device is provided in the form of a solenoid assembly (30, 31, 32) for displacing the piston under the influence of electronic control means and a uni-directional arrangement (37, 40, 41) prevents return movement of the piston following fluid displacing movement thereof.</p> |
