PURPOSE:To reduce a level variation caused by boarding and alighting of passengers by constituting it to lead pressure oil in a cylinder to a brake valve, give braking force in proportion to load of and elevator cage at time of elevator stoppage and release it at time of elevator driving, respectively. CONSTITUTION:In order to brake a side wall of a plunger 6 with a brake 30, pressure oil in a cylinder 5 is utilized. Consequently, a solenoid selector valve 16 is installed in space between a cylinder chamber and a brake valve 20, and the pressure oil is fed to the brake valve 20 by on-off operations of this solenoid selector valve 16, braking the plunger 6. When an elevator is operating, the solenoid selector valve 16 is made to come into an on-state whereby braking force is released. Accordingly, this braking force has no effect at all at time of normal traveling. during stoppage of the elevator of power failure and so on, the solenoid selector valve 16 is set to an off-state, and braking force is added to the plunger 6 and thereby any variation in a cage position against load can be thus checked. |
