PURPOSE:To make it possible to use a cutting oil also as a hydraulic oil by mixing zinc dithiophosphate and an alkali (alkaline earth) metal borate with a base oil having a specific kinematic viscosity. CONSTITUTION:The title composition is obtained by mixing a base oil having a kinematic viscosity (40 deg.C) of a 8-150cSt (e.g. a mineral oil) with a zinc dithiophosphate of formula I (wherein R1-4 are each alkyl or aryl) in an amount of 0.001-2.0wt.% in terms of zinc, an alkali (alkaline earth) metal borate of formula II-III (wherein M<1> is an alkali metal; M<2> is an alkaline earth metal; x is 0.5-5; and y is 0-5.0) in an amount of 0.001-2.0wt.% in terms of boron, and if desired, a cleaning dispersion, a viscosity index improver, a pour point depressant, a rust preventive, etc. |
