PURPOSE:To control the degree of curving of a sleeve and to prevent the meandering of a strip by constituting the crown roll in such a manner that the sleeve deviates from a straight arbor supported eccentrically and the degree of curving can be freely selected by angle adjusters. CONSTITUTION:The surface of the sleeve 7 is a flat roll in the state in which the axial line of bearing supporting members 3 is aligned to the axial line of a barrel part 1 of the roll shaft. The sleeve 7 attains the curved state when the members 3 are rotated 180 deg. by operating the angle adjusters 4 from this state. The degree of curving is adjusted by the operation of the angle adjusters 4 and the meandering of the strip is thereby prevented. |
