WATER-PROOFING SHEET MADE OF THERMOPLASTIC ELASTOMER

PURPOSE:To obtain the title water-proofing sheet of high tear strength and high tenacity by using a thermoplastic elastomer which is prepared by heat- treating dynamically an EPDM rubber and a polypropylene resin together with a crosslinking agent, a high-density polyethylene and a low density polyethylene. CONSTITUTION:(A) 30 to 80 pts.wt. of a thermoplastic elastomer which contains completely crosslinked EPDM rubber particles and has less than 80 deg. JIS A hardness, prepared by dynamically heat-treating 30 to 80 pts.wt. of an ethylene- propylene-diene rubber (EPDM rubber) and 70 to 20 pts.wt. of a polypropylene resin in the presence of a crosslinking agent are mixed with (B) 10 to 80 pts.wt. of a high-density polyethylene having more than 0.940g/cm<3> density and (C) 10 to 60 pts.wt. of a low density polyethylene having 0.915 to 0.938g/cm<3> to give the subject water proofing sheet of more than 35kg.f/cm T-type tear strength and 75 to 150kg.f/cm<2> tenacity at 20 deg.C.
