Freight lorry protective cover - has two rows of uprights, transverse beams, and pliable covering

A trailer or lorry protective cover consists of two rows of uprights interconnected by longitudinal beams, over which are positioned a number of transverse beams which at regular intervals are interconnected by hinged links. The lorry top is covered with pliable awning and the sides are covered e.g. in three sections. At the bottom of each section are hinged wooden flaps. The lorry load platform (1) has a fixed wood front panel (2). Along the rims of the load platform are four uprights (3) and also e.g. six wooden flaps (4) fitted with hinges (5). Longitudinal beams (6) support a transverse beam system. The beams are interconnected with hinged link arms, and are motor chain driven enabling covering of the entire roof. Awnings are separately fitted for roof and side sections which may be rolled and secured by belts.
