PURPOSE:To adjust the length where an object to be printed is applied with the printing pressure thereby to meet various printings different in the printing depth by a method whereby the distance when a brancket cylinder and a form cylinder, and the formed and a pressure cylinder are in contact with each other is set to be smaller than the width of a recessed portion of said brancket cylinder, and said brancket cylinder is arranged to be detachable from said form cylinder and pressure cylinder. CONSTITUTION:When the leading edges of recessed portions 7, 14 of a brancket cylinder 8 and a pressure cylinder 6 come to agree with each other, the brancket cylinder 8 is moved in contact with a form cylinder 1 and the pressure cylinder 6. Although a paper 15 is sent between the cylinders 6, 8, it is not printed since it agrees with the recessed portions 7, 14. Thereafter, when each terminal edge of the recessed portions 7, 14 passes the contacting position, printing is started and continued until the leading edges of the recessed portions 7, 14 are brought into contact with each other again. Since the contacting position between the brancket cylinder 8 and form cylinder 1 coincides with the recessed portion 14, the ink is never supplied to the brancket cylinder 8 irrespective of the phase of the form cylinder 1. |
