Tube joint to lattice-work nodal point - has insert in tube end wall forming stop for bolt head

The joint secures a tube to a nodal point in a latticework structure, and comprises a bolt with shank protruding through a wall at the tube end and engaging with the nodal point. A component sliding on the exposed part of the shank but not turning on it forms spanner faces. An insert (4) is fixed inside the end wall (5), the shank passing through it, while its face towards the inside of the tube (6) forms the stop for the bolt head (8). A spring (10) thrusts the bolt downwards from a position in which the outer end of the shank is flush with the further end of the spanner-face component (7) into one where its head bears against the insert.
