PURPOSE:To simplify the manner in which a filter assembly is set in place on the main body of an air conditioner and removed therefrom and to reduce the area required for the installation by laterally providing guide rails one above an air inlet formed in one side of the main body and the other under the air inlet and each rail in parallel with the other and by setting in place a filter assembly with a flange by fitting the flange in the guide rails. CONSTITUTION:A guide rail 11 is placed above an air inlet 10 and a guide rail 12 under the air inlet 10. Each of the guide rails 11, 12 has the shape of substantially the letter U in cross section and is placed with the open side facing the open side of the other and in parallel with the other. A filter assembly 13 is fitted in and between the two guide rails 11, 12. This filter assembly 13 comprises filter elements 14 each having the shape of substantially the letter V, a flange 15 to which the filter elements 14 are fixed, and a packing 16 stuck to the flange 15 on the opposite side from the filter elements 14. As a result, the area required for the installation is reduced and the filter assembly 13 can be set in place and removed in a simple manner. |
