摘要 PURPOSE:To improve strength and rigidity of a joint and prevent vibrations and noises from being produced by forming a bracket for supporting a rear suspension rod in a specific shape and jointing the bracket to a specific mating member so that external forces are favorably transmitted. CONSTITUTION:The lower surface 10a of a rear cross member 10 is offset downward to form a stepped portion S where a bracket 20 is jointed for supporting a rear suspension rod 3. Here, the bracket 20 is formed by a rod jointing portion 20a of a channel-shaped cross section and a panel lapping portion 20b continuous from the portion 20a and with its cross section gradually changing into an L-shape. A flange portion 20c formed on one rear side edge of the bracket 20 is jointed along the length from an inner lower surface 10b to an outer lower surface 10c of the stepped portion S, the other side edge 20d on the front side of the bracket 20 is jointed to a side surface 10d on the front side of the member 10, and the bottom surface 20e is set to be flush with the inner lower surface 10b of the member 10.
