PURPOSE:To simplify the construction and motion of a tool changer and reduce an occupied space, by enabling the attachment and detachment of a tool pot to and from a chain as a conveyor and using an inverting device to invert the tool pot. CONSTITUTION:A tool pot 70 is stopped at an inverting device 20 by a chain 65 as a tool pot conveyor. A reciprocation drive mechanism 24 is operated to move a slider 22 forth leftward. At the same time, a piston rod 41 is moved forth and engaged in the hole 79 of the rear end of the tool pot 70 to move the pot forth. As a result, the first and second engaged members 71, 72 of the tool pot are disengaged from the support plates 65 of the chain and pulled out. A clamp adapter 78 is then pinch-held between the wall 40 of the slider 22 and the protrusion 37 of the body of the inverting device 20 to integrally couple the tool pot with the inverting device so that the tool pot can be supported even if it is inverted. |
