The tile is rectangular, with a projection at the rear of each bottom corner, incorporating a groove (4,5) open at the bottom and side. A tongue (8) having a length (f) less than that of the tile, projects upwards at the top. An alternative design has three grooves, and two tongues pro)ecting from two adjacent sides. ADVANTAGE - A smooth external appearance is maintained, and the facade is not damaged by ice or other adverse weather conditions.
