PURPOSE:To use a memory efficiently by providing a control table of each printer device as a file on an external storage device. CONSTITUTION:This processing system consists of a format source file 1, a format compiler 2, a control table file 5, and a format object file 6. A control table developing part 3 is added where a control table required in the format compiler 2 is developed on the memory. The format compiler 2 reads in a format source from the format source file 1 and sends its printer classification to the control table developing part 3. The control table corresponding to the printer classification is read from the file 5 and is developed on the memory. As the result, a format object generating part 4 generates a format object on a basis of the control table and outputs it to the file 6.
