摘要 The aircraft identification system uses an evaluation micro-processor to determine the type of aircraft and its flight path from the information provided by at least one optoelectronic sensor. The 2-dimensional aircraft image is compared with data held in a memory representing a projection of a 3-dimensional aircraft model in the plane of the optoelectronic sensor, to allow a real aircraft to be identified via a disriminator. The difference between the actual aircraft orientation with that of the model is used by an estimator to calculate the aircraft flight path, to select the approporiate projection of the model for the next comparison. The processor model may comprise a grid with equidist-ant grid points depricing a sheld which depries the aircraft surface , all grid points joined together by a number of elementary steps.
