PURPOSE:To appeal much more the power of a large screen by overlapping a parabola signal in a horizontal scanning cycle or a vertical scanning cycle on an outline correction signal, and emphasizing an outline as approaching to the peripheral part of a screen. CONSTITUTION:The parabola signal supplied from a peripheral part outline correction emphasizing circuit 14 is overlapped on the outline correction signal formed at an outline correction circuit 13. Thereby, an amplitude is expanded at a start period and an end period in the horizontal scanning cycle and the vertical scanning cycle respectively. Therefore, the outline correction is emphasized as approaching to the peripheral part of the screen, and visibility which lowers at the peripheral part of a screen 4 due to the focus dislocation of magnification lenses in projection tubes 3r, 3g, and 3b, can be corrected, and a clear picture can be obtained uniformly over the whole of the screen.
