PURPOSE:To make the silver image of a planographic printing plate stably lipophilic by incorporating an org. compd. having two or more mercapto or thion groups and hydroxyaryl fatty acid. CONSTITUTION:This processing soln. compsn. for a planographic printing plate utilizing a silver image as an ink receptive body contains a org. compd. having two or more mercapto or thion groups and hydroxyaryl fatty acid. The proper concn. of the hydroxyaryl fatty acid is about 10<-4>-5wt.%. This processing soln. compsn. is preferably used in a weakly acidic or alkaline pH range.
