Clay with a water content of less than 24 per cent is extruded from a nozzle having a rectangular opening, for tile manufacture. At the end of a circular section supply tube (1) is an element (3) which decreases constantly in size, having a circular inlet end (5) and rectangular discharge end (6). Connected to this is a second element (4) having a constant rectangular shape, and with a rectangular opening matching that of the first element. ADVANTAGE - Material is discharged ready for stamping operations.
