The method of packaging continuously prepared endless viscose yarn, especially into the shape of a cop package, solves the increase in resistance against damage of manipulation and the fall of coils during textile processing and thus also in the production economy. This is accomplished by the fact that the lifting path of the stowing guide of the yarn periodically stretches in the width direction of the package during the production and subsequently shortens the extension time of the lifting path of the guide - 53% to 95% of the total period time.<IMAGE>
