<p>Assemblages (10) of fasteners (20) are manufactured by moulding connected individual fasteners and simultaneously stretching the connected fasteners while subjecting them to controlled heating using an insulated probe (34) which contacts the fasteners together with further heating from an infra-red heat source (42).
