NEW BEER SORT WITH CHOICE PROPERTIES OF BITTER AND STOUT AND METHOD OF ITS PRODUCTION

The purpose of this solution is the production of a new type of beer with selected light and dark beer qualities - half-light beer. The half-light beer is characteristic by its colour, with the following contents: iodine from 1.1 to 3.0 ml 0.1 N to 100 ml of water, the contents of the extract in the original hopped wort is 8 - 14%, real fermentation grade is at least 48%, pH ranges from 4.1 to 4.8, 0.35% of the weight of carbon dioxide. The bitter is 15 - 25 units in 8 - 11% beers and 20 - 35 units in 11-14% beers. It is also characteristic by a malty taste and a slight caramel flavour and moderate or even medium bitterness, where the bitterness character is mild or medium rough. For reaching the above mentioned characteristics a malt of Czech type, Bavarian type, caramel malt, saccharose, caramel, hops and hop preparates are utilized. For this new type of beer production it is possible to use any of the known technological procedures.
