<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate a wasteful ribbon feed and the need for replacing an ink ribbon by a method wherein the temperature of a printing head is controlled so as to be a dissolving temperature of a corresponding color on an ink ribbon in which inks of different colors are respectively contained in microcapsules having different dissolving temperatures. CONSTITUTION:With an instruction from an interface circuit 1, a control circuit 2 conducts a printing control to a printing head. At this time, based on a color selection signal from a color selection circuit 3, a temperature control circuit 4 determines the temperature of a printing head 5. For example, when the printing head 5 is set to be 60 deg., the printing head 5 dissolves only red capsules on an ink ribbon to print with a red ink; when the printing head 5 is set to be 80 deg., the printing head 5 dissolves red capsules and blue capsules to print with a purple ink; and when the printing head 5 is set to be 1000 deg., the printing head 5 dissolves red capsules, blue capsules, and black capsules to print with a black ink. Additionally, the temperature of the printing head 5 is determined in accordance with an ink ribbon in use.</p> |
