PURPOSE:To allow the simultaneous exchange of a braking member which brakes the rotation of a photosensitive body with the photosensitive body or image forming unit by interposing the braking member between the photosensitive body and a photosensitive body holder or the image forming unit. CONSTITUTION:The braking member (friction member) 44 having a elasticity is interposed between one end face of the photosensitive body 14 and a bearing side plate 40. The braking member 44 is fixed to the bearing side plate 40 and brakes the rotation of the photosensitive body 14 by coming into pressurized contact with one end face of the photosensitive body 14, thereby preventing the image blur based on the unequal rotation thereof. If the braking member 44 is disposed in this position, the photosensitive body 14 receives the force of a thrust direction when a driving gear for driving the photosensitive body 14 is a helical gear and, therefore, the braking characteristic is more effective. The braking member may be interposed between the part of the peripheral surface of the photosensitive body 14 exclusive of its image forming region and a stay 39 as expressed by sign 44a. The braking member 44 or 44a can be exchanged integrally with the photosensitive body 14 at the time of exchanging this body 14. |
