The method can be applied to the production of tubular inserts of crystallisers for the continuous casting of steel, non-ferrous metals, and other materials or alloys of circular, polygonal or other types of cross section, with a stable or variable profile with longitudinal axis curvation. These inserts are made of a tubular semi-product in a cold condition on a mandrel. The principle of the solution, consists in the fact that a fixed tubular semi-product in all its dimensions is plastically formed by means of an evenly distributed pressure of between 0.5 to 15 GPa of gas or liquid medium, such as water, on all the surface of outer coat of the tubular semi product against a polished surface of the axially secured steel mandrel.<IMAGE>
