The crate, mainly for fruit and vegetables, is composed of two transverse strips 1 and of two lower longitudinal strips 2, joined together by a thinned joint 3 forming a hinge. The strips 1 are provided with several openings 4, with ribs on the outer sides, with projecting points 6 at the outer ends, with internal and external reliefs 7, with a vertical fastening device consisting of the lower 8 and upper 9 hooks, with a horizontal fastening device 10 and 11, of lower protrusions and with a peripheral internal rib 13. In addition, two upper strips 15 are provided with a device for fastening between strips. Lastly, the crate is equipped with a piece of film made of flexible plastic and with a corrugate cardboard element 23 with flaps 25 and fastening holes 29. <IMAGE>
