The invention relates to a hydraulic device making it possible rapidly, without muscular effort, and in complete safety, to hitch a tool to a tractor. It consists of a base plate 4 which is installed over the upper part of the drawbar 1 of the tractor, and receiving the rest of the system. A hydraulic thrust cylinder 6 acts on the component 2 to bring it into the bottom position, and thus to connect the ring 3 of the tool to the drawbar. The spring 11 positively holds the component 2 in the top or bottom position. The device according to the invention is particularly suited to hitching drawn or semi-mounted tools to agricultural tractors. <IMAGE>
