PURPOSE:To connect thick plastic sheets by a method in which a heat-sealing tape is temporarily bonded to the end edge of plastic sheets by a temporary connector and then pressed by heating at a high temperature for hot bonding. CONSTITUTION:Two plastic sheets 1 and 1' are set by partly lapping them, and a heat-sealing tape 2 with an adhesive layer is temporarily bonded to the lapped portion 11 by a metal roll 32 and an elastic roll 34 at a low temperature of 50-110 deg.C. The heat-sealing tape 2 is then heated to 120-250 deg.C by flame of gas burner 5 from its surface and pressed by a roll 6 for hot bonding.
