In the case of an electronic chime supplied from a low-voltage transformer via a diode, in order to actuate which chime the diode is shunted using a button, so that a transistor is driven by the half-cycle which is now transmitted, which transistor connects the control input of the chime IC for supplying the control signal to the operating voltage, difficulties occur during assembly in the form of incorrect switching due to wrong polarities. In order to eliminate these assembly errors, it is proposed to connect the supply wires of the chime circuit to a bridge rectifier which outputs the operating voltage.
