PURPOSE:To improve the quality and the yield by moving a dried laver to detect the change of reflected light. CONSTITUTION:When a dried laver A is transported on guide plates 6 and 7, foreign matters on the surface of the laver A reflect the light of a light source 8 and their image is picked up by a television camera 9. In this case, foreign matters are surely checked when an angle theta1 of irradiation of the light source 8 and an angle theta2 of the camera 9 are set to about 45 deg. and about 60 deg. respectively. Thus, the quality and the yield are improved because foreign matters are detected without contacting and even minute foreign matters are detected. |
