PURPOSE:To form a polyaniline compsn. with little soluble part and excellent charge-discharge characteristics when it is used as a positive electrode material of a secondary battery by mixing a conductive filler when aniline is polymerized in a chemically oxidative polymn. method of aniline. CONSTITUTION:A polyaniline compsn. is formed by performing oxidative polymn. of aniline using an oxidizing agent with a standard oxidation-reduction voltage of 0.6V or higher in an acidic soln. in the presence of a conductive filler with an electric conductivity of 5S/cm or larger. As the conductive filler, no special limitation exists, and graphite powder, carbon fiber, flaky graphite and expanded graphite are pref. from the view-point of miscibility. As the oxidant, ferric perchlorate, ferric periodate, ferric borofluoride, ferric hexafluorophosphate, ammonium persulfate and hydrogen peroxide are pref. As the acid used for the acidic soln., perchloric aid, hydrogen borofluoride, hexafluorophosphoric acid and periodic acid are pref. |
