<p>PURPOSE:To improve sealing property by integrally forming an uncross-linked thermoplastic resin layer having a heating wire provided therein in a position in contact with a body to be connected on the inside of a cross-linked thermoplastic resin layer of a joint body, and providing a body to be connected inserting channel on the inside of the uncross-linked thermoplastic resin layer. CONSTITUTION:An electrofusion joint 1 is mounted in such a manner that the end parts of polyolefin tubes 5, 6 are inserted into body to be connected inserting channels 7 formed on the both end parts of a tubular cross-linked polyolefin layer 2 forming a joint body and made into contact with an uncross- linked polyolefin 3 integrally formed with the cross-linked polyolefin layer 2, and the joint is supported by a body to be connected supporting layer 8 integrated with the layer 2. A heating wire 4 provided in the inner part of the uncross-linked polyolefin layer 3, or on the outer surface or inner surface thereof is energized to melt the uncross-linked polyolefin layer 3, which is then fused to the bodies to be connected 5, 6 and integrated therewith. Hence, high temperature performance and sealing property can be easily improved while preventing the deformation of the connected body.</p> |
