PURPOSE:To take out a moving position signal without affecting others, by providing a position detecting sensor coil to a single pole piece opposite to rotor teeth. CONSTITUTION:A stator core 1 has 16 pole pieces 2, each of which has three pieces of tooth 3. An exciting coil is wound around each pole piece 2, which is composed in four-phase. A rotor 4 is composed of bisected rotor cores 5A and 5B, a shaft 6 and a magnet 7. At this moment, a sensor coils S is provided to one of the 16 pole pieces 2. (In this pulse motor a sensor coil S is composed in winding around a section 2A opposite to the rotor core 5A.) Thus, when the teeth of the pole piece 2A, where the sensor coil S is provided, meet with the rotor 4 to face, the reactance of magnetic paths through mutual clearance becomes minimal. By taking this vibration signal out of the sensor coil S, the state of each deviation is detected.
