PURPOSE:To achieve an easily visible indication with a resonable suppression of noises by detecting and indicating the maximum of digital values of echo waves received at a specified interval. CONSTITUTION:Echo signals received sequentially at a specified interval such as one pixel period or the like is fetched into a CPU31 following an A/D conversion. The CPU31 compares wave signals sequentially received by a process control according to a program of an ROM32 to control the writing updating of larger received signals into an RAM33 whereby the max. value of digital values of echo waves during one pixel period is transferred to a buffer memory 15 through the RAM33. Thus, the echo wave signal the largest in the amplitude is selected as representative signal and indicated thereby enabling resonable suppression of noises and making the indication easy to observe. |
