PURPOSE:In the spinning process where the bundle of fiber is subjected to following operation in order, predrafting, wetting, maindrafting, false twisting, drying and winding up, water is sprayed on the surface of the false twisting nozzle to prevent the sticking and accumulation of short fibers and contaminants on the surface of the false twisting nozzle. CONSTITUTION:A bundle 1 consisting of at least one of yarns is subjected to predrafting between the back rollers 4, 4' and front rollers 5, 5' in the predraft zone 2, then wetted with water from the nozzle 6. Then, excessive water is removed with squeeze roller 8, 8' and main drafting is effected between the back rollers 9, 9' and the front rollers 10, 10' in the main drafting zone 3. The yarn is false twisted by means of the nozzle 11 and spun with taking-up rollers 12, 12', then dried and wound up. Water is sprayed continuously or intermittently from the pipe 14 on the surface of the false twisting nozzle 11. |
