Decentralised, time-dependent room (space) heating control

The method and the construction for time-dependent and decentralised room heating control relate to room heating systems with radiator thermostats as regulating unit in the room or in the dwelling unit. This may apply to radiators installed in an exposed manner, but, for example, also to floor heating systems. The construction can be produced from proven components. The system allows the flexible setting of heating phases, the minimum and maximum temperature for each room or dwelling unit. In addition, permanent room cooling or room warming outside the programmed time phases can be selected. An installation pays for itself within a very short time and can be effected without structural measures in an extremely simple way by replacing the radiator thermostats and fitting the controlling and regulating unit. This applies to new equipment as well as to the retrofitting of old systems. A power supply to the controlling and regulating unit is required. Running costs are insignificant. The savings on primary energy resources are considerable, resulting in significantly reduced energy costs and thus greatly contributing to environmental protection. Moreover, the system raises the quality of life markedly, since the dwelling-room temperatures can be set to individual requirements.
