摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To miniaturize a coolant compressor by securing a bypass magnetic path member made of magnetic materials and defining a slight gap between itself and the inner peripheral surface of a first rotary body, to a support member. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic force generated upon energization of an exciting coil 4 form a magnetic path A passing through an inner peripheral magnetic path member 17 external of the outer periphery of a roller bearing 20 and a magnetic path B passing through a bypass magnetic path member 21 internal of the inner periphery of the bearing 20 and a cylindrical part 14. In this case, the wall thickness of the member 17 is reduced so that the magnetic resistance of the magnetic path B is decreased even though the magnetic resistance of the magnetic path A is increases, and accordingly, the total magnetic resistance is no changed. That is, the engaging forces of first and second friction members 18, 19 may be made to be equal to each other even though the diameter of the first rotary member 6 is decreased. As a result, the friction member 29 is displaced by a magnetic force generated by the exciting coil 4, overcoming the coercive force of a leaf spring 28, the friction surfaces 22 and 34 are made into close contact with each other, and accordingly, a torque is transmitted to a drive shaft 2 of a coolant compressor 1 from an engine. Since the rotary member 6 is miniaturized, the torque transmitted to the drive shaft 2 is increased by a pulley ratio.</p>
