PURPOSE:To remove odors fixed to toner and copying paper by mounting a deodorizing roller so as to contact with the picture surface of recording paper on the downstream of a flashing area in the recording paper feeding direction of a flash fixing device. CONSTITUTION:While being putting on a carrier belt 30 and adsorbed by a separation tank adsorbing plate 35, a transfer sheet is moved in the left direction in the drawing, flashed by a discharge tube 31 and fixed by melted toner. Odorous gas generated by decomposing resin at the melting of the toner is collected by a blower, deodorized by a deodorizing filter filled with activated carbon and discharged to the outside of the macine. In order to remove the odor fitted to the copying paper itself, a deodorizing roller 32 instead of a discharging roller is pressed against a driving roller 33 through the belt 30 to be moved together with the driving roller. A rubber roller containing activated carbon e.g. is used for the deodorizing roller 32 and a catalystic type roller also can be used. |
