A PACKAGING SYSTEM

A packaging system from which one or more packages can be formed comprises a number of elongate strips (2) made of cardboard or similar stiff material and each having a plurality of score or fold lines (6) extending transversely therein. In addition, a number of end members (4) are provided. Each end member (4) is drawn from a sheet of plastics material and has a rectangular base (16) with a continuous, upstanding peripheral rim (10) extending around the perimeter of the base and a continuous peripheral channel (12) adjacent to and within said rim (10). This channel (12) is dimensioned to receive a longitudinal edge region of a selected elongate strip (2) to form an upstanding peripheral wall. Protrusions (15) project in said channel (12) to locate and engage said elongate strip (2).
