<p>This apparatus is intended for fixing, onto the end of a conveyor belt, a row of joining fasteners (2) provided with fixing spikes disposed in readiness, and this is carried out by means of a punch for driving in the spikes and a movable die intended for crimping the points of these spikes. Now, these components form part of a working head (5) comprising a frame (6, 7) capable of being installed at a fixed point on any appropriate support, for example a work bench (8). This working head comprises moreover a slide (11) on which is mounted, so as to slide, a movable bar (10) intended to act as support to the end of a conveyor belt (1) and to the row of joining fasteners (2) to be fixed to the latter. This bar has a series of regularly spaced openings (13) capable of receiving the heads of the fixing spikes (4) which initially project over one of the arms of the joining fasteners (2). The working head (5), which has a fixed position, comprises means capable of immobilising the movable bar (10) in each of these successive positions useful for engaging with this working head for fixing the various fasteners (2) one after the other. <IMAGE></p> |
