PURPOSE:To set a network supervisory path economically by establishing the network supervisory path in the order of a nose closer to a supervisory equipment supervising nodes at the rise of the system or at the fault processing time or the like so as to set the network supervisory path to all the nodes. CONSTITUTION:The relation of connection between all nodes 1 and a transmission line 2 is identified in the supervisory equipment 3, the network supervisory path 4 is set and commended in order from a node 1 close to the supervisory equipment 3 and when the supervisory equipment 3 receives the reply of the end of setting, the setting command of the network supervisory path 4 to the next node is applied to set the network supervisory path 4 to all the nodes 1. In setting the network supervisory path 4 in the order of, e.g., (1)-(4), the network supervisory path 4 to all the nodes is set. Moreover, if the node 1 or the transmission line 2 is faulty, since the replay by the fault cannot be received by the supervisory equipment 3, the setting of the network supervisory path 4 bypassing the faulty part is set.
