A free-wheel clutch (50) comprises a key (68) with a radially extending tang portion (76) received in a recess (84) of a friction disc (66), and axially extending wedge portion (74) received in a keyway (62) of a drive member (44) and tiltable to engage a keyway (72) in an output member (46) to transmit rotation in one direction, only when the drive member (44) is rotating. The clutch (50) may be used in a walk-behind lawn-mover (10) between the motor (18) -driving gearbox (34) output shaft (44) and a pinion (46) driving a drive wheel (16).
