PURPOSE:To improve sealing performance by fixing a stopper for suppressing vibration of a resilient metal plate between a combustion chamber hole made through the resilient metal plate and beads formed on the outer circumference thereof, and providing sealing function to the stopper. CONSTITUTION:A metal gasket body 1 is formed from a resilient single metal plate 2. A plurality of combustion chamber holes are made through the central portion of the plate 2 while a plurality of bolt holes 4 are made through the circumferential section. Beads 5 are provided on the circumferential sections of respective combustion chamber holes 3 to seal the gap between jointing faces such that no combustion gas leaks through the gap. Stoppers (crape portion) 6 are arranged between respective combustion chamber holes 3 and respective beads 5 to suppress vibration of the resilient metal plate 2 so as to prevent breakdown of respective beads 5 due to fatigue, and sealing performance is added to the stoppers. The metal gasket body 1 constructed in such a manner is arranged between a cylinder head and a cylinder block. |
