<p>PURPOSE:To surely calibrate an input coordinate position by providing the coordinate input device with a correcting parameter updating instructing means, a parameter candidate calculating means, a candidate validity deciding means, and a means for determining a candidate as a correcting parameter when the candidate is valid. CONSTITUTION:A calibrating processing program is stored in a ROM 112 of a processing part 20. The input face of an input tablet 21 is depressed by an indication pen 23. During the period of depressing a calibration key 61, an indication point P is displayed on a liquid crystal display part 25. The coordinate value of the depressed point is calculated and a calibration value is found out based upon a shear from the corresponding position on the screen. The correction value is stored in a RAM 113 as a correction parameter candidate. Then, a message 62 advising the depression of the key 61 is displayed on the display part 25. The depressing position of the tablet is calculated by the candidate parameter based upon the input of the pen 23, and when the position corresponds to the position of the key 61, the candidate is determined as the correction parameter to be used at the time of calculating a coordinate value. Since the parameter can not be determined when a user executes malfunction in said constitution, the input coordinate position can be surely calibrated.</p> |
