PURPOSE:To provide a non-woven fabric useful for sanitary articles, etc., and having an excellent durable water-absorbing property not lowered due to washing, etc., by blending water-absorbable polyester fibers containing a polyoxyalkylene glycol with an alkali metal sulfonate salt derivative in specific amounts, respectively. CONSTITUTION:A water-absorbable polyester fibers, >=20wt.% preferably >=60wt.%, containing 0.2 to 10.0wt.% of a polyoxyalkylene glycol (preferably having a mol.wt. of >=3000) and 0.1 to 5.0wt.% of an alkali metal sulfonate salt derivative [e.g. a compound of formula I-IV (M is an alkali metal, preferably Na; R is >=8C alkyl)] are blended to provide the objective non-woven fabric. |
