PURPOSE:To securely divide and carry rolled stock into a cooling floor irrespective of variation of rolling speed by arranging plural dividing shears in series between final rolling rolls and the cooling floor and shortening the cutting speed of a rolling mill in inverse proportion to the number of carry in lines from the dividing shears to the cooling floor. CONSTITUTION:A position detecting means detects the position of the rolled stock 5 which goes out of the final rolling rolls 11 and enters the carry in line 4A on one side. The work timing of the dividing shears 3A on one side is operated so that the rolled stock 5 is divided by an arithmetic means of division timing to a fixed length based on this detected value. The work timing of a selector 7 is operated so that the following rolled stock is inserted by an arithmetic means for select timing through the detected value into a carry in line 4B on the other side. The rolled stock 5 is cut by the dividing shears 3A in the dividing shears controlling means. When such working is repeated, the cutting period of the rolled stock 5 is halved to one dividing shear because two dividing shears are applied here. |
