PURPOSE: To provide a multilayer composite material to be used for manufacturing cards such as a credit card or an identification certificate by forming the material of a first to a seventh layer and making layers 3 and 5 attachable at any time. CONSTITUTION: The multilayer composite material is manufactured by coating a film comprising thermoplastic material layers 3 and 5 with a thickness of 0.05-0.5 mm containing 0.1-30 wt.% of pigment and a layer 4 with a thickness of 0.05-0.8 mm containing max. 30% of pigment with a perforated film or alternatively, by coating the film with a layer to be formed by mold injection, knife coating or simultaneous extrusion. Next, a roughly made sheet thus obtained is coated with a decorative ink layer with a thickness of 5-50 μm and/or an adhesive layer 2, 6 with a thickness of 5-50 μm using a printing process. Finally, a highly transparent thermoplastic material layer 1, 7 with a thickness of 0.01-0.3 mm is laminated, as a high temperature and preferably pressed to the appropriate perforated film, to the roughly made sheet. The card finished as described is almost free from curving and is highly heat resistant and shows high dynamic flexural fatigue strength. |
