PURPOSE:To brake a motor with a simple structure by connecting a brake switching element between a signal generator which closes with the output signal of a position detector and which produces reactive output signal of the position detector at the previous stage of the detector and a drive circuit. CONSTITUTION:When a manual switch 31 is opened to brake a rotor at the normally rotating time, the earth side common line 17 of a signal generator 30 is not grounded, the output terminals of the position detectors 10-12 made of open collector type Hall IC are always H level, and control transistors 24-26 are always interrupted OFF, and base currents always flow through resistors 14-16, resistors 21-23 and drive transistors 5-7, causing all drive transistors 5-7 to be conducted. In this manner, DC voltage is always applied to the motor coils 1-3, and reverse phase torque is generated at the motor coils 1-3, thereby braking the rotor. |
